Der Brief ist mit Doppelfrankatur frankiert, einmal portogerechte 20 Centimes Okkupationsmarke und portogerechte 25 Centimes französische Céres-Marke. Die französische Marke wurde im Durchgangspostamt Belfort mit dem entsprechenden Rautenstempel “420” entwertet. Ebenso rückseitig Zweikreisstempel von Belfort (2?.6.1871) und Ankunftsstempel Clermont-Ferrand (27.6.1871). Der Brief ist aus der 3. Nachgebührperiode nach Spalink. Aufgrund der Doppelfrankatur unbeanstandet befördert.

The cover has double postage applied, one correctly franked 20 Centimes occupation stamp and one correctly franked 25 Centimes French Céres stamp. The French stamp was cancelled at the Belfort transit post office with the corresponding diamond cancel "420". Also on the reverse two-circle postmark of Belfort (June 2?th, 1871) and arrival postmark Clermont-Ferrand (June 27th, 1871). The cover is from the 3rd postage due period to Spalink. Delivered unobjected due to the double postage.

Der Brief ist mit Doppelfrankatur frankiert, einmal portogerechte 2x1 Groschen Brustschildmarken und nicht portogerechte 20 Centimes französische Céres-Marke. Eigentlich wären 25 Centimes fällig gewesen. Die französische Marke wurde im Durchgangspostamt Nancy mit dem entsprechenden Rautenstempel “2598” entwertet. Ebenso rückseitig Zweikreisstempel von 2598, Datum nicht lesbar und Ankunftsstempel Granges (27.2.1872). Der Brief ist aus der 6. Nachgebührperiode nach Spalink. Aufgrund der Doppelfrankatur unbeanstandet befördert. Offensichtlich hat man dem Empfänger die fehlenden 5 Centimes nicht in Rechnung gestellt.

The French stamp was cancelled at the transit post office Nancy with the corresponding diamond cancel "2598". Also on the reverse two-circle cancel of 2598, date not decipherable and arrival cancel Granges (February 27th, 1872). The cover is from the 6th postage due period (Spalink). Delivered unobjected due to the double franking. Obviously the recipient was not charged for the missing 5 centimes.
