Am 7.3.1972 verausgabte Israel eine Marke mit dem Slogan "Let my people go" (lass mein Volk ziehen). Dies war in Bezug auf eine Kampagne zur Emigration von Juden aus kommunistischen Ländern. Die Marke wurde in Rumänien nicht akzeptiert und entsprechende frankieter Sendungen nach Israel retourniert. Es kommen sowohl Sendungen vor, die nur die Empfängeradresse durchgestrichen haben, als auch solche mit einem israelischen Aufkleber, der den Grund der Rücksendung angibt.

On March 7th, 1972,  Israel issued a stamp with the slogan "Let my people go". This was in reference to a campaign for emigration of Jews from communist countries. The stamp was not accepted in Romania and corresponding mail with such stamps were returned to Israel. There are shipments that have only the recipient's address crossed out, as well as those with an Israeli sticker indicating the reason for the return.
